Care, Community and Connection.
In 2017, in response to Wurundjeri and community activism, Birrarung was recognised as a single living entity all the way from the mountains of Mt Baw Baw to Port Phillip Bay, granting it the same rights as us.
Did you know that 70% of Melbourne/Narrm’s drinking water comes from Birrarung?
Unfortunately, litter still pervades its waters. What is our collective responsibility to Birrarung?
Come for a paddle and give back to the river that sustains us. All river care equipment and paddling rafts provided, as well as a yummy lunch at the end to celebrate.
Care, Community and Connection.
