“You go for a walk, but you also might come across someone doing weaving or an artistic talent and they actually immerse you in their craft, which brings extra layers of depth and meaning to the walk.” — Local artist Anli Vuong

FAR EAST FLANEUR

The Far East Flaneur is an art + nature trail experience that meanders for five days through East Gippsland, from Lake Tyers to Cape Conran – via all the best bits in between.

We start at Lake Tyers Beach Tavern and finish up at Sailors Grave Brewing, and along the way we flaneur, walk, paddle and cycle for 100kms, as we weave, yarn, learn and create with local artists and nature lovers.

It is a great chance to unwind and disconnect from technology and enjoy the beauty of nature around us.

ART + NATURE WALK / PADDLE / CYCLE / RELAX

Traveling with FLOAT’s crew of artists, bird watchers, nature journallers and storytellers – and the region’s best local tour operators – you’ll learn about hidden gems and East Gippsland’s forests and coasts, flora and flocks by the folk who love this region. You’ll also learn how FLOAT and its supporters are finding fresh, innovative ways to take care of nature through art + travel. Join us and become a Far East Flaneur as we look, listen, learn, snap and scribble notes along the trails.

Meet the Far East Flaneur artists!
